Minutes of the 2025 HOA Annual Meeting

March 1, 2025

Kure Memorial Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall

117 N 3rd Avenue, Kure Beach, NC 28449

The Kure by the Sea HOA annual meeting was called to order by President Pat Triplett at 9:30 a.m.

Members present were asked to make introductions.

Motion to Approve minutes as posted was presented by Pat Edgecomb

Second:  Chris McMain

Approved by membership.

The Finance report was presented by Treasurer Barbara Bass.  Budget expenditures, balances on checking and savings accounts were presented.

Motion to accept report John Shalanski

Second Chris: McMain

Approved by membership

The Budget for 2025 was presented and was approved by membership

Motion to approve:  Chul Choi

Second: Gary Walker

Approved by membership

The Report from the Board was presented by Pat Edgecomb.

Two new ordinances 1) no e-bikes on beach.  2) Do not feed the birds.

Upcoming events:  Community Fest April 26 11-3, Gardening 101 March 22 1:00pm, Genealogy Interest Group 1st Wednesday of each month 9:30-10am

Beach Toys:  Please give beach toys no longer used by children to Pat Triplett or beach toy boxes.

The ARC report was presented by Emery Walters

The Maintenance report was presented by Fred Edgecomb.  Chul Choi was thanked for his work at Beach Access

New Business

Board Nominations:  Nominations were asked for by Pat Triplett.  No nominations were made from the floor and the current Board agreed to serve for he 2026 year.

Meeting Adjourned 10:15 am.

From the KBSHOA Board of Directors

The Annual HOA Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 9:00 a.m.

Please note that the location has changed to the home of Pat Triplett, 201 Leeward Court.

The last several years attendance has been low; therefore, the Board has decided to save

the rental fee and hold the meeting in the neighborhood.    

If unable to attend the meeting, please send your proxy vote and the name of the HOA member you wish to cast a vote if a vote is needed to: kurebyea@aol.com.
